ヒグマ — Coffee for the slow hour

The slow ritual
of Japanese coffee.

Beautifully made tools, carefully chosen — for the few quiet minutes of the day that are entirely yours.

ヒグマ

A bear that lives between two homes.

Higuma is the brown bear of the northern forests — unhurried, deliberate, at home in the cold and the quiet. We borrow its temperament.

From a base in Madrid, we bring the Japanese coffee ritual to European tables: the porcelain, the pour, the pause. We choose every object for how well it serves that ritual — not for where its passport says it's from. When the best tool for your hands happens to be made elsewhere, we'll tell you, and tell you exactly why we chose it.

What we keep on the table

A small, considered range

The grind

A single grinder we'd happily put on our own counter — the start of every good cup.

The pour

Drippers and servers from Japan's ceramic heartland, shaped for control and for the eye.

The vessel

Carafes and cups in the quiet Slow Coffee Style — restraint you can hold in your hands.

The everyday

The filters and small things you reach for each morning, chosen as carefully as the rest.
